The AAU season has been very kind to the CKY Magic thus far. Currently sitting at a record of 39-4, the Magic started out the season at the KBA, playing in the 9th and 10th grade divisions – winning both championships. It didn’t stop there.
At the Battle of the Boarders in Louisville, CKY Magic came away champs. They were KBA Spring Runner-Up and champions of the KBA KY State Tournament (2020).
Finishing in the Elite 8 of the Nike Showdown in Chicago, the Magic found success in an event featuring 52 teams total. They also finished in the Elite 8 of the Adidas Select Series in Chicago.
Down in Atlanta, the Magic finished as the Co-Champions of the Adidas Prospect Series. They wouldn’t have to go too far before finding even more success in Birmingham, Alabama, winning the Future 150 event.
“Last year we were ranked #5 in the state by Midwest youth/Mid-America and we finished as the NTBA National Runner up in Myrtle Beach,” said CKY Magic program director, Eric Morton. “In 2015 we made it to the Final Four of the NTBA Nationals. I feel each year we have gotten better and better while increasing the competitiveness of our schedule.”
The Magic’s remaining schedule will take them to Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia and Orlando.
