Recruiting Report: Stephen Cannady (2018)
Stephen Cannady, a class of 2018 guard for St. Vincent Pallotti, is coming off a solid junior campaign with the Panthers. He should expect to see an uptick in his recruitment this spring and summer. The high IQ combo guard is very skilled. Cannady enjoys distributing the ball, but is also a good scorer.
“My defense is most improved,” said the Cannady, a native of Bowie, MD. “I need to continue to work on defense. Its a lil lackadaisical, but I’m gonna get it right.”
Cannady believes he’s an underrated passer, but we are well aware of his reliable playmaking abilities as we got a good look at him during the Gonzaga DC Classic and the Bullis Holiday Classic. Cannady is a very good student, and tells us he has a 3.6 GPA.
“I have an offer from Canisus,” said Cannady about his recruitment. “I’m receiving interest from Wagner, Morgan State, Lehigh, and Colgate.”
Cannady believes he can to a college program bring leadership, and passing ability while being able to score when needed. What type of school does Cannady see himself attending?
“To be honest, I don’t really care where it is. I’m just trying to feel where I’m comfortable.”
