Recruiting Report: Kaden Anderson (2018)
Enumclaw has an intriguing 6-foot-7 wing walking its hallways with Kaden Anderson, and as of right now, he’s wide open to potential recruitment.
Any prospect with that size is likely to be eventually sought-after by college programs, and so far it’s just been one that has reached out to him.
“Seattle Pacific called about two weeks ago, and that’s the only school I’ve heard from so far,” said Anderson, who defined his playing style to PHWA.
“My strength is being able to drive by bigger guys and posting up smaller guys; I can basically play inside and out, and I can shoot the 3 if the defender doesn’t get out on me.”
This past season was his second season starting with the Hornets, Anderson says he was the team’s leading scorer.
“I feel like I had a really good season, and I had a really big role on the team. I got a lot of rebounds for my team and when we needed a big bucket, I was the guy we’d go to,” he said.
“I’d say the biggest thing I need to work on is just speed, being light on my feet and moving quicker.”
The big and versatile wing will work on that speed and quickness this summer while playing with Seattle Pride 17U.
Along with improving his game, exposure and recruitment are major goals of his this offseason.
“I’m just hoping to get an opportunity to play college basketball,” said Anderson. “We go to Vegas this weekend, and I just want to go out there and play good and just get an opportunity.”
