Grassroots preview: Oklahoma Wolfpack 15U
The Oklahoma Wolfpack 15U squad is coached by Mark Jefferys entering the summer with a salty group. Anthony Baker directs the Oklahoma Wolfpack program. They have high goals for the summer.
“The Oklahoma Wolfpack 2020 is a new team that has been put together this year,” said Baker. “This is a hard working group of players that are under the radar. The goal for this team is to develop each players skill as well as develop them as young men.”
Just as Coach Baker stated above the Oklahoma Wolfpack 15U team has some players who have been playing under the radar.
Devin Crites 2020 Wing
Crites is a very skilled Small Forward that can play inside and outside equally well. His long arms and 6’3” frame allow him to shoot over most guards and his athleticism makes him hard to guard for a big man.
Matt Garza 2020 Guard
Garza is a two guard with an accurate shot and quick release. Standing at 6′ Garza has some potential especially with the work ethic he has according to the Wolfpack coaches.
Mason Matteson 2020 Point Guard
Matteson is a 5’7 Point Guard with a quick first step that helps him create with the rock in his hands. He is a crafty lefty in the lane and is an accurate shooter from outside the three-point line.
“What is fun about this group is they are so eager to learn and take coaching extremely well,” said Coach Baker.
The Oklahoma Wolfpack program will travel to Wichita for the GASO Midwest April 21-23 for the first live period. For the second live period the Oklahoma Wolfpack will take their talents to Dallas for the GASO April 28-30.
