Grassroots preview: Game Changers 16U Elite
The Game Changers 16U Elite squad has a chance to be one of the better 16U teams in the state of Oklahoma. Brandon Troutman is the director of Game Changers, and the coach of the 16U Elite squad. The goals for Game Changers 16U Elite squad are to make an impact through the summer in several different ways.
“Establish our program as one whose teams are a tool used for developing players,” said Coach Troutman. “Earn respect as a team who will compete with anybody on any stage to get better and help our players grow. Play a regional schedule that allows our players to be seen by the right coaches at the right schools.”
Some of the top talent on the 16U Elite squad for the Game Changers are listed below. The Game Changers 16U Elite team will travel to Big Foot in Houston April 21-23 for the first live period and the GASO in Dallas for April 28-30 for the second live period.
Peyton Caldwell 2019 Guard
6’2” Guard from Edmond Memorial high school. He is a big time shooter from anywhere on the floor and smooth handle with the ball in his hands. Constant threat offensively huge upside
Denis Mitchell 2019 Forward
At 6’7” Mitchell is the Center from Spencer high school. Powerful athlete with a strong body. Raw talent, but willing to do the dirty work and be a force around the rim blocking shots and grabbing board.
Mason Robbins 2020 Center
Robbins is every bit of 6’8”at Center from Edmond North high school. Only a Freshman and projected to grow a few more inches. Great touch around the rim and out to 15 feet. He is one to watch for sure.
Anthony Riley 2019 Wing
Riley is possibly the most explosive athlete in the 2019 class. This kid could develop into a talent that matches his athleticism. Keep a close eye on Riley’s development.
“The best thing about coaching this group is we don’t possess the egos that seem to be evident in a lot of young players,” said Coach Troutman. “These guys just want to get in the gym and work, and work at being a contributor to the team first. The unselfishness of this group is special.”
