Grassroots preview: BTR 17U
BTR also known as Below the Rim has a 17U team who traditionally rates in the top five in the state of Oklahoma. This year they have several playmakers who will have college coaches interest peaked. Jesse Brown the director is hoping to get his program the most looks possible as they head into the most important summer of their basketball careers.
Get a look at the top players on the BTR 17U squad below.
Braden Boyer 2018 Forward
At 6’7, Boyer is one of the biggest sleepers in the 2018 Oklahoma Class. He is always active with an extremely high motor. The best way to describe his game is non-stop Boyer is always working hard. He has soft touch around the basket and can step out and knock it down from the mid-range. Boyer projects to the Division II level.
Elisha Brantly 2018 Point Guard
Brantly is a dynamic 5’10 Point Guard who is a playmaker with the ball in his hands. He is very physical guard for his size. Each game out he works hard on both ends of the floor. The jumper of Brantly from the outside has went from solid to really good. He projects to the small college level.
Issac Barger 2018 Combo Guard
Barger is a playmaker at 6’2 who can play both the Point Guard spot or play as an off guard. Barger is most effective getting to the basket and finishing in traffic. He will have a chance to really impress this summer with great playing time with BTR.
BTR 17U will be in the Houston Classic the first live period April 21-23. The second live period in April, BTR will take their talents to Dallas for the GASO April 28-30. Trey Hendon coaches the BTR 17U squad.
