Top Performers – 4th Region Tournament Quarterfinals – 3/1/17
A handful of players impressed on the final night of quarterfinal action in the 4th Region Tournament on Wednesday at Western Kentucky University’s E.A. Diddle Arena.
As Russellville defeated Monroe County and Clinton County knocked off Greenwood, here’s a breakdown of some of the top performers from the action:
- Pedro Bradshaw, Russellville
Bradshaw, a Belmont signee, scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to carry the Panthers to an 80-48 victory. Bradshaw played his style of game throughout the entire contest and presented many problems for the Monroe County defense.
- Jaylyn McMurry, Russellville
Russellville’s fellow star player dropped 19 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to help the Panthers record a season-extending victory in Wednesday’s contest. McMurry knocked down big-time shots and was a threat that the Falcons worked hard to try and contain.
- Jackson Harlan, Clinton County
Harlan, one of five seniors on the Bulldogs’ roster, scored 16 points on 4-of-8 shooting (1-of-3 3PT FGs) to lead Clinton County on the evening. Harlon helped his team advance to Monday’s semifinal round.
- Alex Fee, Greenwood
Fee finished with 110 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to be one of the Gators’ leading scorers. Fee hit tough baskets inside the lane and pulled down rebounds that led to baskets on the other end, while having some that gave he and his team second-chance opportunities.
- Billy Michael Dyer, Monroe County
Dyer scored 11 points and was the only Falcon to have an offensive rhythm flowing in the game. Not only did Dyer add points to the board, but he also played lockdown defense.
