Top College Prospects from Upstate Showcase
The Upstate/WNC Showcase had close to 110 players attend the event held a couple of weeks ago and we are taking a look at some of the prospects that are starting to attract attention from high-level Division One basketball programs.
2019 F Donta King from Legacy Charter (SC) was impressive, the forward is long and strong. Reminds me of Tennesee frosh Grant Williams. Has big hands and feet, will play against some of the most talented players in the country with Legacy Charter. Will start to gain attention on a national level soon.
2019 G Zach Baldinelli of Boiling Springs (SC) is going to end up being a high-level recruit. Smooth lefty that is athletic and has great court vision. Can finish at above the rim.
Zach Baldinelli2020 CJ Plantin of Pendleton HS is going to be good. Has all of the tools, can score it, rebounds, athletic, can take over a game. Will be playing this summer with Anthony Randolph and Team Loaded 704.
2018 W/F Anthony Hicks of North Forsyth HS is a remarkable athlete with a great body. Knows how to score the basketball and can defend at a high-level.
2019 F Landon Henley of Tuscola High School played great at the event. Great footwork and post moves to go along with a nice touch and feel around basket. With two-years remaining at Tuscola, Henley shows a lot of promise in his game. He may end up being one of the top big men out of this area in some time.
