A lot of talented players took the floor this past week in Lakeland for the FHSAA state basketball tournament.
Here is the Class 6A all-state tournament team.
1st Team
Tevin Florent (Osceola)
The senior put up 13 points in the semifinal and 17 in the final against Wekiva. Florent hustled on the boards and made the most of his opportunities in the tourney. He really stepped up when the state champion Kowboys needed him to.
Paul Reed (Wekiva)
Headed to DePaul in the fall, Reed had perhaps the best game of his life in a semifinal win over South Miami. The senior forward scored 28 points and hauled in 13 rebounds. He shot 8-of-11 from the field and 11-of-11 from the free throw line. Reed followed that up with an 18 point, 13 rebound line in the final.
Zack Dawson (South Miami)
Dawson scored 26 points in that semifinal loss to Wekiva. The Oklahoma State commit shot 9-of-21 from the field, but his grit showed up time and time again in the game. Dawson is going to be very good at the next level. His instincts are through the roof.
Trent Frazier (Wellington)
The top scorer in all of Class 9A for the week was Frazier. An Illinois commit, the senior recorded 32 points in a 52-50 semifinal loss to Osceola. The senior shot 5-of-9 from deep and 9-of-10 from the free throw line. The Illini are getting a good one in Frazier.
