Prep Hoops Exposure Camp (Top Wings)
This past Saturday the Prep Hoops Exposure Camp took place at Skyridge High School. There was plenty of standouts and I will be highlighting some of the top senior wings from the event.
Jake Whitehead 6’5 SR (American Fork) Is a big strong wing that is able to score getting to the basket and can also hit from deep. Whitehead is a kid that is solid at almost every aspect of his game. Several junior colleges expressed interest and I think he would be served well playing two years of juco.
Nate Maudlin 6’5 SR (Judge Memorial) was as impressive as anyone at the camp. Maudlin spent of his high school career playing on the block but during camp he showed good he was at the win. He was able to know down the three ball and also get to the rack. Maudlin is a solid juco/NAIA prospect.
Chan Hargraves 6’5 SR (Layton Christian) is an athletic wing that can also get hot from deep. He didn’t shoot the ball great during camp but has shown this season that he can. He is a good juco prospect that could potentially play at the D2 or NAIA level.
Marquis Gilson 6’4 SR (Westlake) is a big strong physical player that can score very well in the paint. He needs to work on his guard skills but if he does he could be a big-time player. Several junior college reached out to him.
James Nelson 6’4 JR (Salem Hills) is a big-time scorer that can score in bunches. He got hot in a few games and was able to score a lot of points. Nelson needs to work on the rest of his game this off-season and he should one of the best players in the class of 2018.
Alex Holley 6’4 JR (Roy) was very solid this past Saturday. He is an athletic wing that does most things well. Holley needs to work on his ball handling and shooting going into his senior season. He should be a very good player next year.
Josh Sanders 6’3 JR (Davis) is a good looking prospect that was able to score 22 points in one of the games. He should be the best player for Davis next year. I look for him to have a huge year and he can play at the juco and possibly the D2 level.
