How They Got Here: Broken Arrow
Broken Arrow has a special player in Caleb Huffman and a team full of talent which is why they are back in the state tournament.
The Tigers are 20-7 with key victories over Muskogee, Owasso, and Norman North. Great defense has been a key for Broken Arrow this season. The Tigers have held all but fives teams under 60 points.
Caleb Huffman is a star who has progressed every season under very little fan fare. Huffman is 6’4 point guard who has great athleticism. With his size, he has the ability to finish at the rim with ease. Huffman is the prototypical mold for what college coaches are looking for in a point guard today.
Huffman has done a great job of leading BA from being the underdogs to making a statement to teams around the state for making it this far.
Tony Hall is a power guard who is outstanding player from the free throw line and below. He can post up smaller guards and he does a great job on the glass. At 6’4, Hall has a college ready body that he uses to abuse smaller defenders.
Hall has begun to figure out his game this season and he has been a leader for the Tigers. Role players for BA have stepped it up this season. They feed off of Huffman and Hall to make plays for themselves.
Broken Arrow is a team that not many expected in the final eight teams standing. The Tigers are full aware what got them this far. Great team defense and the talents of Huffman and Hall.
