How They Got Here: Booker T. Washington
Booker T. Washington is back in the state tournament because of immense talent and growing chemistry.
The Hornets have a great amount of talent in RJ Fuqua, Jaycson Bereal, Bryce Thompson, and Seth Hurd. BTW is 19-7 and have had a successful season due to their comfort ability with each other.
Fuqua, who recently committed to Oral Roberts, is a 5’11 point guard who can score in a variety of ways. He has a feel for the game that you cannot teach and he has led the Hornets this season.
Bereal is a transfer from Holland Hall who has brought his scary athletic ability and growing skills to BTW. At 6’7, Bereal is a legit wing prospect who can handle it and he can get hot from the perimeter. Bereal became eligible later in the regular season.
Bryce Thompson has come in and immediately made an impact. Thompson is far beyond his years when it comes to skills and IQ. He has taken this BTW team to another level when he is on his game.
Seth Hurd gives the Hornets quality size down low at 6’7. Hurd is currently ranked the 5th best player in Oklahoma in the 2019 class.
These four players are growing together and if they can fully mold together then they can make a run.
BTW will play Westmoore on Thursday at the Maybee Center.
