Continue ReadingOver his high school years at Norman North Trae Young has many moments he will hold close to his heart. Monday, Young was presented his McDonald’s All-American Jersey at Norman North with his family and friends surrounding him.
It was a moment Young won’t forget. He was very appreciative of the opportunity to represent Norman North, Oklahoma, his family and himself as a McDonald’s All-American. In his speech to the audience Young says family played a large role in him getting this opportunity.
“I want to thank my parents they have always grounded me growing up to put me in this position I am in today,” said Young. “I want to thank Coach Merritt and the rest of the coaching staff and players without them I wouldn’t be here today. I want to thank Jesus Christ for everything he has done for me.”
Young says he is excited to get to go to Chicago and play in such a special event. This is a busy week for Young as he is preparing to announce his college decision on Thursday. In an interview with Nate Feken of Channel 4 in Oklahoma City Young spoke about his big announcement on Thursday.
“I feel really good,” “This is so tough to come down to just one school. I never thought I’d be able to come down to one school, but now that I am. I am super excited.”
Prep Hoops Oklahoma will be front and center for Young’s announcement on Thursday at noon.
