Oklahoma Power lands Adidas sponsorship
The Oklahoma Power grassroots program has landed a spot on the Adidas Gauntlet for their 17U and 16U teams for the upcoming spring and summer. The opportunity Oklahoma Power will have as a Silver program on the Adidas Gauntlet will help Oklahoma players have a new opportunity of being seen. The Director and Head Coach of the Oklahoma Power, Kellen McCoy is excited for the Adidas Circuit.
“It means a ton for our program,” said McCoy. “Being a part of a circuit is an amazing privilege for which we are thankful to just have the opportunity. We have been building for several years with our now 16U program, last year we decided to expand and had six teams in the program. We had a good first year and are looking to continue this summer.”
The Adidas Circuit begins in Dallas April 21-23, continue the following week in Atlanta April 28-30, May 26-29 is the regional qualifier date and it wraps up with the Gauntlet Finale in South Carolina for the teams that qualify. Adidas also hosts an end of the year event in Vegas, July 26-30.
“This gives these kids in the state a great opportunity to showcase their talents on the national stage, as well as play against some great competition around the country, which will make Oklahoma better,” said McCoy. “I’m excited. It has been a long process getting this done. I’m happy to be able to give back to the Oklahoma basketball community and help continue to get our youth into college and to continue their basketball careers.”
