Three players to watch
Brady Manek 2017 Harrah Forward (Signed Oklahoma)
Manek is a star in Class 4A and we will get to see him against another Class 4A star in Elijah Landrum. That will be a fun matchup to say the least. Manek is a long, lanky, 6’9 smooth shooter from the wing. This year he has really improved his rebounding numbers becoming the man in the middle on defense. Manek will be a treat to watch.
Elijah Landrum 2017 Tulsa Central Point Guard (Signed SMU)
Landrum is headed to Dallas this next fall due to his amazing talents on the court. He is just 5’9, but every inch of him is packed full of talent. Landrum is likely to put on a show as he tends to play his best in the big games. He is a big time talent with a great jumper and overall just a knack for scoring.
David Ward 2018 Webster Wing
Ward is a skilled 6’6 Wing that can get hot quick from downtown. He has Division I potential in the 2018 Oklahoma Class. He is ranked by Prep Hoops as a top five talent in the Oklahoma 2018 Class. Ward will have his hands full with not a lot of talent around him, but anytime you have a player like Ward it gives you a shot.
Area III Championship: Harrah vs Tulsa Central
Games at Stillwater
This game will feature two of the best players in Oklahoma in Brady Manek and Elijah Landrum. This one is simple to breakdown, what pace is the game played at? If Harrah can slow down the game then they win it. Tulsa Central will be working tirelessly to speed up the game and get the ball out in transition in the hands of their guards. Prep Hoops predicts Harrah will get a narrow victory.
Consolation Games
Chickasha vs Seminole
Seminole has been on a nice run as of late with a big win over Tuttle to advance to this game. Chickasha will have their hands full with a team who is starting to believe in themselves. Prep Hoops has Chickasha in a close game advancing!
Webster vs Blanchard
Blanchard is a very talented team that features a tough team to beat. Webster is a little down this year, but has David Ward leading the way. Blanchard finds a way to outlast Webster and advance.
Blanchard vs Chickasha
These two teams know each other pretty well from the battles over the years. Chickasha and Blanchard is always a fun one. Chickasha behind their guard play wins this one to advance.
Consolation Final: Tulsa Central vs Chickasha
Chickasha will be tired heading into this one for the third straight day playing and traveling to Stillwater. Tulsa Central is the more talented team and has rest on their side. Landrum and company get a victory and Tulsa Central advances to state.
Two teams for state from Area III in Class 4A
