Young on record setting pace
Oklahoma has special players come around every so often. The most notable basketball export of Oklahoma, Blake Griffin. When Griffin came out of Oklahoma City he was ranked #18 nationally by ESPN. Often many ask how good is Trae Young? In the 2017 class, Young is ranked #15 nationally by ESPN. Young has a long way to go to reach the heights of Griffin’s basketball career, but the potential is certainly there.
Last night against #5 Westmoore Young scored 40 points. It was not his best shooting performance, Westmoore made Young work hard for each of his points. For those who have not watched much of Young and just see his crazy points he puts up, Young is much more than just a scorer. Young did a great job of getting his teammates involved last night. Young is currently averaging 44.4 points per game this season. He has a chance to shatter the points per game record in Class 6A Oklahoma history.
