What was first reported as a broken hand has thankfully turned up to be a less serious injury for Chargois. The injury for Chargois would have been devastating to the Unoin Redskins hopes for a Class 6A Championship.
Last year Chargois was out for the second half of the season with a broken foot. Union still managed to make the state tournament, but fell in the first round to the eventual champions, Putnam City West. Chargois and Adrian Rodriguez have dominated the paint this year.
The health of Chargois is essential to Union having a shot at the Class 6A State tournament. Union is playing in the Union/Jenks Invitational this weekend.
