In only two games in, Miles had 17pts, 5ast, 4rebs in his first game and in the second, he went for 18 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. The senior is leading his team as he should be one of the oldest players on the team with the most experience. Miles gets the crowd off of their feet by knowing what moves to put the skates on the defender. I have seen Miles make players fall in previous years. This year, he plans to leave it all on the floor. “This is my senior year. It is all or nothing. I am playing for a scholarship and playing to get my team to state. I have to step up and be the leader that I am capable of being. People count us out all of the time, but that is fine with us.” Clark sounds like he is ready to take on the rest of the season.
Miles is a 5’10, point guard with a quick first step and strong ball handling. I barely seen him get the ball taken out of his hands. He is a very thin guard with long arms that helps him keep his separation with the ball from defenders. He gets after it on defense and has fun being a team player. He is always looking to get teammates involved on defense and offense by directing traps and helping his teammate when they get beat or he is looking to dish the ball off when he attacks the gap.
Clark has quick hands and quick feet on defense. He is not afraid to challenge his man’s ball handling ability by reaching in to see if he can get a steal. The times I have seen him go for the steal, he has made it happen. After a few times up the floor, his man is giving up the ball quicker and dribbling with their backs turned to him which causes one of his teammates to be able to act on a steal.
Clark is receiving interest from Division II and Division III schools. Beginning with Division II, he has interest from Trevecca University, Johnson C Smith, Oakland City, Bellarmine University, and Ohio Dominican. From Division III, he draws interest from Marietta College. Clark is focusing on the season right now he says but he is still looking to draw more interest and land offers.
