“I’m mainly a shooter; it’s something I’ve really worked hard on,” Spurlock said. “But I’m also confident in my guard skills and ability to post up. I also take a lot of pride on defense.”
Spurlock says he and his teammates have gotten off to a really good start to the season.
“The season, so far, has been really good,” Spurlock stated. “I feel like I have been doing good; contributing to my team a lot on both ends of the floor. I’m really proud of how my team has started the season, as well. We’re working really hard.”
In the classroom at the high school, Spurlock says he is a hard worker.
“I work really hard in the classroom and take pride in making the best grades I can,” Spurlock noted. “I make all A’s usually – I’ve had one B in high school.”
Although he hasn’t received any direct offers yet, Spurlock says he has been shown interest from many college programs and that more college coaches and programs should start to reach out because his game sits apart from others’.
“I think my game should catch programs’ eyes because of my guard abilities at my height (6’6″),” Spurlock added. “Shooting, ball handling, passing, court vision, basketball IQ, working in the classroom, etc.”
