No official offers have come in for the Johnson Central combo guard, but some preferred walk-ons at area Division I programs are an option.
Blair mentioned to PHKY that he wants to wait until his senior is finished before he makes any decision.
“I’m still without an offer but I’ve been really heavily recruited by some schools, and I think I’ll get some offers before my senior season is up; UVA-Wise, Pikesville, Cedarville, and Georgetown,” said Blair.
“I think if I have a really good senior season then more of the in-state schools will take a little bit of notice. And I do have preferred walk-ons from NKU and Morehead State, during the AAU season they talked to my AAU coach.”
Blair added: “That’s (preferred walk-on) for sure something I’d be interested in. I talked my dad about it, and it’s always been my dream to make a Division I roster, and that’s something I think I can do.”
The sharpshooting senior says that ideally he’ll receive an offer and go to school for free, but he’ll weigh his options in the spring and make a decision then.
“I hope I just have a breakout senior year, and some more colleges take notice, and I pick up a couple offers,” said Blair. “I’d like to get my college paid for, of course. But if not, I’ll maybe accept the preferred walk-on role and work my way up, and try and get a scholarship that way.”
