This play making lead guard has taken trips to Asbury University (KY), Lee University (TN), and Trevecca Nazarene (TN). Spring Hill College (AL) made a visit to his high school earlier this fall to watch a workout.
The senior from Bullitt East High School has really geared in on the strength and conditioning aspect of his game in preparation for his final high school season. Osborne has hit the weight room extremely hard this offseason. As a result, added, “10 pounds of muscle” to his frame since last season. Jared told Prep Hoops KY, “I have been lifting 5 days a week” and have “noticed a difference in my game.” The added strength will help him, “finish through contact,” an area he felt that needed to improve. Osborne has also spent quality time, “running on the track”, to improve his conditioning and capacity level.
After studying some game film of his play from last season, it’s important to communicate that he’s more than just a shooter. This PG has exceptional court vision and made weak side help defenders pay time and time again. Jared continually delivered on-time and on-target passes to teammates allowing them to catch in rhythm for high percentage scoring opportunities. Additionally, he In has a quick, tight handle and his ability to score from all three levels, separates him from other high school point guards.
He has all the tools to be a very valuable point guard at the college of choice. Jared plans on, “signing in the spring” and his list of schools will continue to grow throughout his senior season.
