Originally, Stoddart committed to SNU, but after some miscommunication with the coaching staff the door opened to other schools. Southwestern Oklahoma State and Oklahoma Baptist recruited Stoddart hard over the next couple of weeks. Last night Stoddart announced he had committed to Oklahoma Baptist.
Stoddart was relieved to get the stress of his recruitment out of the way before entering his senior year at Edmond North.
“Oklahoma Baptist was my first offer,” said Stoddart. “I loved the campus when I went on a list. The way Oklahoma Baptist runs there offense fits me perfectly, which I am excited for.”
The offensive system will set him up for great success. Stoddart will provide Oklahoma Baptist with a stretch four that can shoot the three-point shot lights out. He has a chance to play right away making an instant impact for the Bison.
Oklahoma Baptist has now landed two top twenty five prospects in the Oklahoma 2017 Class, Brantly Thompson #25 is the other. Stoddart signed with Oklahoma Baptist today to make the decision official. Oklahoma Baptist has great movement towards a great class getting two of the best available Division II prospects in the state.
Oklahoma Baptist now shifts their focus to getting a high school Wing. The 2017 Class for Oklahoma Baptist could set them up for great success for many years to come in the Great American Conference. Stoddart and Thompson are two prospects that have the ability to come in and contribute right way.
Stoddart inked his name today at his home. Now Stoddart will be able to focus on Edmond North, which has a great chance at winning the Class 6A state championship. Edmond North returns a loaded squad with several new additions. This will not be the last time you hear of the talents of Stoddart.
