Nero is a prospect who has been overlooked by Division I programs to this point. However, the 6’2 Point Guard is looking to show college programs he is a true Point Guard. In the opening game of the year Nero showed improvement in being an all-around Point Guard. Over his high school career Nero has always been an elite scorer with the ability to score in all three phases of the game.
A Division I program looking for a Point Guard late in the recruiting process will find a steal in Caleb Nero. He has a killer instinct with leadership qualities at the Point.
Kobe Rose may be the Robin to Nero at the two. Rose signed with Connors State in the early signing period. By the end of his time at Connors State Rose has a chance to be a Division I prospect. Last night against Hale Rose scored 21 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. What makes Rose a dynamic threat is his intense defense. Thursday night Rose snatched 6 steals away from Hale.
A young prospect to keep an eye on is 2019 6’7 Forward Kalib Boone. In his freshman season Boone saw limited minutes, but this year Memorial will need Boone to be a key contributor. Boone posted 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks. The size Boone possess along with his athleticism and raw talent make him a prospect for Division I programs to keep a close eye on him.
