STATE CONTENDER: Pulaski County (47th District)
Pulaski County inherited transfer duo Steven Fitzgerald and Danny Butt from Pulaski Southwestern this off-season, making the Maroons a regional favorite and a contender to play in the final game of the year at Rupp Arena. Pulaski also returns 6’6 senior Treyvon Sylvester and senior point guard Landon Powell. Sylvester averaged 15 ppg and 7 rbs last season and Powell averaged 17 ppg last season. All four players mentioned are future college basketball players.
NEXT TO CONTEND:
Mercer County not only lost a stacked line-up from last season, but their head coach as well. But not all is lost with the Titans. Mercer returns arguably the most talented player in the region in 6’4 junior Trevon Faulkner. Faulkner averaged 19 points while shooting over 50% from the field last year.
