10th REGION
STATE CONTENDER: Campbell County (37th District)
Campbell County may have graduated regional player of the year and West Point commit Matt Wilson, but they return depth and experience that will have them vying for the 10th region championship. They return seniors Cole Hegyi (12.5 ppg) and Garren Bertsch (11 ppg). Tanner Clos and junior Joel day will also contribute.
NEXT TO CONTEND:
Scott returns their all-time leading scorer in Jake Ohmer along with Vinny Dumlao who averged just under 10 ppg. Be on the look out for junior guard Nelson Perrin as well.
Paris returns Jekobi Wells, senior guard who is lightning quick and a tremendous slasher. Paris hopes that those abilities will help them get through their district and battle in the region tournament.
Pendleton County could be this year’s Augusta. Coach Keaton Belcher returns 3 starters including sophomore all-star Dontaie Allen. Allen averaged 22.1 ppg last season, as well he averaged just under 10 rebounds. After a great summer, Allen will continue to impress as he climbs the ladder of the most talented players in Kentucky’s 2019 class. If teams don’t find a way to stop Allen, the Wildcats could make some noise.
