The Prep Hoops Oklahoma staff breaks down the class with the first set of rankings and each writers pick to win the state title.
- Carl Albert
- Tulsa Memorial
- Lawton Ike
- El Reno
- East Central
- Edison
- Coweta
- Claremore
- Southeast
- Shawnee
Carl Albert is an easy section at #1 as they come off a state title from a year ago. The top two players for the Titans, Mason Harrell and Trey Hopkins return along with a good nucleus. Tulsa Memorial will give the Titans a run for their money all season long. The last two years the Chargers have endured their season ending at the hands of Carl Albert. Caleb Nero, Kobe Rose and company are set strong on making sure Tulsa Memorial’s season ends with a gold ball.
Lawton Ike is a team many forget about in the southern part of the state. This year Lawton Ike will have to overcome the loss of Darius Roy, but the Eagles look to challenge once again for a state championship. El Reno is ranked #4 after finishing last season with a loss to Carl Albert in the semifinals. The talent level of the Indians will surprise some people. Callen Haydon is a special scoring talent at Point Guard. Another player to lookout for at El Reno is 2019 Wing Dyson Plumley.
