After a successful summer competing with the Louisville Magic (an adidas Gauntlet participant), Trey goes into his junior season having put his name on the map, making him a target for college coaches around the area.
“I really enjoyed playing with the Magic. It provided me an opportunity to work on my jump shot and get it to where it needs to be. It also provided me the opportunity to show off my skills in front of a lot of different college coaches.”
During the last weekend of September, Trey visited Radford and Virginia Commonwealth (VCU). He holds an offer from VCU.
“I had a very good time visiting both schools,” said Trey. “I learned a lot about both schools and their programs including their style of play and how they can help me become the best version of myself.” Trey has heard from a number of other schools including Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State, Butler, Western Kentucky, and Furman.
Currently Trey ranks near the top of the Kentucky 2018 class. When asked what he was looking to accomplish going into his junior season at Pleasure Ridge Park, he added that “my coaches and I have talked about becoming more of a leader and taking over games when it is needed. So that’s what I plan on doing. I also want to prove that I am one of the best players in the state and prove that I’ve become a better all-around guard having worked on my shot during the summer.”
Trey has been getting in done in the classroom as well. He currently holds a 3.3 GPA and will be taking his ACT in the near future.
