Kyle sits as one of the top ranked 2019 prospects in Kentucky and colleges around the country are taking notice. Rode answered a few questions from Prep Hoops KY about his summer and his current recruitment process:
SUMMER AAU PLAY
“This summer I played with adidas AAU power Indiana Elite and it was great. Our team finished the esummer #1 in the adidas Uprising and I felt like a played at a high level consistently thoughou the spring and summer.”
Many college coaches were impressed with Kyle’s versatility and ability to score from all over. There is no doubt that playing with a high level program such as Indiana Elite helped Rode push his game on a consistent basis.
OFF-SEASON PROGRESS
“This off-season I’ve worked hard to really improve my all aspects of my game. As well as really working on my shot and getting quicker and more explosive. I’m really looking to take on a leadership role with my high school team this year so I’m just trying to lead by example.”
HIGH SCHOOL SEASON EXPECTATIONS
“This year at LCA my teammates and I are focused on winning a state championship. Individually I’m really staying in the process of helping my team win and working as hard as I can everyday to get better. If I can do that I know everything else will fall into place.”
RECRUITING SUMMARY
It is early, but already Kyle has garnered a ton of interest from colleges all over. Currently Kyle has visited Vanderbilt, Notre dame, Indiana, Purdue, Xavier, Tennessee and has recieved interest from Virginia Tech, Stanford, and Eastern Kentucky University.
