He is 6’4 with a quick jab step that gets him by defenders who guard him expecting him to post. He can handle the ball and shoot from the perimeter on offense. On defense, he has the ability to guard his man on the perimeter or in the post. Wherever his coach needs him, he is capable of making an impact.

Coaches should know they are getting a player who likes to do the little things that make a big impact in the game. “I like to move around off the ball and set screens for my teammates. I look to crash the boards on every possession whether it is defense or offense and I can shoot the midrange jump shot or drive to the basket. Whatever the defender gives me, I’ll take it”.
Young transferred into Chaminade-Julienne from Wayne High School after winning state as a sophomore. Peyton Young has recently transferred again to Beavercreek High School for his senior year. At Chaminade-Julienne, he started at the four position where he helped in the paint for the small team. He may move to a guard position at his new school after displaying he could put the ball on the floor and shoot the jump shot this summer during summer camps with the team and during AAU.
With his new team, he has new goals for the season. “My goals for the season are to make first team all-league and to lead the league in rebounds and points. Most importantly, I want my team to win the league title and make it to the Schottenstein Center and compete for a state title”. Peyton is capable of helping his team accomplish these goals.
