Kentucky’s 42nd-ranked 2018, the junior do-it-all guard from Pleasure Ridge Park has seen just one school reach out to him so far, in the form of an elite camp invite.
“I got an invite to Kent State’s elite camp, and that’s all I’ve seen so far. I think I might be flying under the radar. I think I had a nice summer and I improved a whole lot since last year,” said Gray.
“I’m hoping to just get a D1 offer, and then just play in college period, anywhere.”
He described his game to PHKY as offensively complete, and described some areas he’s continually trying to improve.
“I can pass the ball well, and my shooting ability is pretty good. I think I rebound pretty well from the guard spot too,” said Gray. “I’m continuing to work on my defense and my leadership on the court.”’
Gray has been with the Panthers’ varsity since his freshman season, and started last year as a sophomore.
As he gears up for his junior season he says he’ll be looking to become the team’s main scorer.
“I’m going to be more of a main scoring source for the team this season,” said Gray. “And I’ll need to just play more defense and try and get everyone involved.”
