Continue ReadingEthan Chargois has the biggest decision of his life upcoming in the near future. He cut his list to four schools early in the recruiting process down to Kansas State, Houston, SMU and Colorado. Recently Chargois took his second official visit this time to SMU (Houston was his previous official visit).
It is thought by many that SMU or Houston could very well have the best chances to land Chargois at the point in his recruitment.
Prep Hoops caught up with Chargois to discuss his visit to SMU this past weekend. Chargois was impressed with SMU.
“I connected extremely well with the staff in just two days,” Chargois said. “The campus is a quiet setting a lot less distractions.”
The offensive system SMU has presented to Chargois also stood out to him on his visit. Chargois wants the ability to shoot the mid-range and three-point shot.
“I like the free flowing offense,” Chargois said. “Playmaking ability is given to all five players.”
Other things that stood out to Chargois on his visit were the campus life and the total support of the basketball team. Oklahoma has strong ties to SMU with Shake Milton paving the way. Since Milton committed to SMU they have landed an Oklahoma prospect every year since. Dashawn McDowell followed Milton signing with SMU in 2015. Elijah Landrum has already committed to SMU this year.
Ethan Chargois has a tough decision ahead of me with four good options. He will announce his college decision on Friday at Union’s Mid-night Madness.
