Currently he’s seen little interest come his way, just one program has reached out. He’s hoping that will change as his junior season unfolds.
“Kent State has been sending me camp invites and stuff like that,” said Commodore. “That’s it right now. I’m looking forward to being recruited this year.”
Though he’s able to fill both guard spots effectively, Commodore says he’s more comfortable running the show at point guard, and that’s where he sees himself fitting in at the next level.
“I’m a great driver and I like to pass, I see the floor very well,” he said. “I look at myself as a point guard, but I can play both, I just prefer point guard. I feel like I set my teammates up well, and can handle it well.”
He was the starting point guard last season as a sophomore with the Bulldogs, and says this year he’ll have to take-on a mentor and leadership role.
“This year I’ll need to fill a leadership role because I’m the only starter to come back from last year. We’re a young team and I’ll just need to help us get better each and every day,” said Commodore who mentioned some personal goals of his.
“I’m just looking to get better and improve my shooting percentages and passing skills, and just being the best I can be.”
