1. Brady Manek Harrah (Team Griffin) 6’9 Forward Oklahoma Commit
Manek will be a four at the University of Oklahoma at 6’9. He has been committed to Oklahoma for quite some time. On the Nike EYBL Circuit Manek had a solid summer averaging 13.3 points, 7 rebounds and 1 block per game. Manek will have a chance to develop into a big time player at Oklahoma.
2. Ethan Chargois Union (Team Griffin) 6’8 Forward
Chargois can be a four in a big line up in college or a small ball five. Colorado, Houston, SMU and Kansas State are the final four schools in the mix for Chargois. This summer Chargois bounced back from a broken foot in the winter. Although he was not in the best of shape coming off his injury Chargois held his own averaging 10.1 points and 7 rebounds per game. At the next level Chargois could turn into a monster with good health and shape.
3. Cameron Martin Yukon 6’9 Center
Martin might be one of the biggest sleepers in the country. Why? Because he was out for the summer with a knee injury. Colleges will catch on pretty quick if he has the year he is capable of at Yukon. Martin is not a Top 150 player in the country, but will be a player who can have an instant impact rebounding and scoring the ball in the paint. The last weekend of July Martin was in action for the first time since his knee injury in the high school season. Martin looked very good in the paint and fully healthy. Schools are always searching for size, Martin has size and upside. Look for Martin to land several Division I scholarships over the high school season.
4. Adrian Rodriguez Union (Oklahoma Run PWP) 6’6 Forward
Rodriguez is most energetic Forward in Oklahoma. Yes, he is not 6’7 or taller, which many times is a requirement for Division I Post players. But Rodriguez makes up for what he lacks in height with heart, toughness and work ethic. Missouri State, Houston Baptist, UMKC and several others have offered Rodriguez. Whichever school lands Rodriguez will be pleased to land a player that will out work everyone. He will be successful at the next level because of his non-stop work on the boards. Rodriguez can also stretch the floor at the Four with his reliable jump shot.
5. Kyle Keener Sand Springs (Oklahoma Run PWP Select) 6’8 Forward
Keener will make an outstanding Forward at the Division II level. He is hearing from several schools from the MIAA, GAC and Heartland Conference. Keener is a long lanky 6’8 rebounding machine. The best attribute about Keener is his toughness on the floor. If a coach is looking for a tough 6’8 Forward that will battle in the paint Keener fits that build. He is a walking double-double machine at Sand Springs. Keener can play the Four or the Five at the next level. Look for Keener to be a highly sought after big man by Division II schools.
6. Harrison Stoddart Edmond North (Oklahoma Run PWP) 6’7 Forward
Stoddart might be the best stretch four option for Division II. In his role Stoddart dominated this summer knocking down almost 50% of his three-point attempts on the Under Armour Circuit. With the arrival of Head Coach Terry Evans at Edmond North Stoddart has learned the game and gotten tougher. In the paint Stoddart is a solid rebounder with the ability to put the ball through in the hoop in all three phases of the game. He is hearing from several Division II programs around the region.
7. Owen Atkinson Putnam City (BTR) 6’6 Forward
Atkinson makes the Post lists and he might make the top ten Wings list as well. He is tweener with the skills to play the Four or the Three. Atkinson has a solid jump shot with the ability to put the all on the floor. Prep Hoops projects Atkinson to the Division II level. He is set for a big senior year at Putnam City.
8. Ben Jenkins Putnam City (Oklahoma Servants) 6’6 Center
Jenkins is a very good rebounder in the post. When his motor is going he is one of the top rebounders in the 2017 Oklahoma Class. The biggest thing Jenkins will have to overcome is not getting a bad attitude when things go wrong on the court. Jenkins has several good post moves that make him tough to guard at 6’6 with a good frame. Jenkins projects to JUCO to NAIA level.
9. Read Streller OCS (Game Changer Hoops) 6’9 Center
Streller is a tall, long, rebounding machine in the post. He is not very well known, but would be a coaches dream in the paint. Streller has potential as he has not been playing basketball for very long. He is still learning the game and could be molded into a nice post at the next level. Coaches will be intrigued by his potential on the court, but also will love Streller in the classroom. Streller has an above 30 on his ACT score making him a free player for most schools.
10. Koby Goodman Preston 6’5 Forward
Goodman took the summer off or he might have been a little higher on the list. He is a reliable Four man for Preston scoring the ball at a high level. He uses his strong build to get open looks around the basket. Goodman will surprise you in the post with a knack to pull down the basketball off the glass. Goodman would make a nice JUCO to NAIA prospect out of Preston.
