Many of the bench players can sub in without any drop off from the starting unit. 2017 Shooting Guard Mason Webb has shown he can provide a quality spark off the bench with his ability to spread the floor and shoot the ball at a high level.
Webb has the ability to play either guard position but his current skill set most suits for him to play off the ball. He is a player who you can put on the wing and trust to knock down the open shot. His size also makes hame dangerous. At 6’4” Webb has the ability to put the ball on the floor and make plays at the rim. Webb has a great all around feel for the game and can be in internet impact at the next level. He had a solid outing at there Jayhawk Fianle on Friday, notching four 3’s in his first game with 15 points.
This summer Webb has mad a quick rise onto the radars of many Division II schools. He currently holds offers from Harding, Oklahoma Baptist, and Southern Nazarene universities. UMass, Mercer, Central Oklahoma, and South Dakota have also shown interest throughout the summer.
Webb says he feels confident that he will find the right school and is fine tuning his game to become more appealing.
“I feel like defense and being consistent and versatile on the offensive end are all thing I can work on,” said Webb. “I know that if i can continue to improve in those areas I can make myself more valuable to schools.”
With several large schools in attendance, Webb could garner Division I attention as the weekend goes along.
