“Lafayette College in Pennsylvania is the only school that’s really recruiting me lately, they came to a couple of games and have talked to my coach about me I know,” said Gover, who elaborated on his recruitment.
“I just want to end up at the right school for me, wherever I can get it paid for. Whether it’s a big campus or small campus, it doesn’t really matter for me. I just want to play at the next level, and go to college for free at the best opportunity I can get.”
Though he’s short, Gover has been working to broaden himself physically, and he’s seeing a difference because of it.
“I’ve been in the weight-room mostly, trying to get stronger and more physical. The whole month of June I spent just working out, and that’s really helped me in July, I can see a big difference,” said Gover who is spending his 17U summer with Louisville Lightning.
“In April and May I did most of the scoring for us, but we picked up a few kids for July, and I’m working more on getting my teammates involved, and just driving and kicking.”
The goal for these next two weekends is simple: get an offer.
“Hopefully I can pick up a scholarship this month, that’s the main goal,” said Gover. “I just want one from anywhere, and level it doesn’t really matter — that’s the main goal for me.”
