“My strong suits include shooting, dribbling and a high IQ,” Cunningham said. “I’m a scorer.”
Cunningham played a solid role in the Maroons’ success last season. The athlete averaged 4.4 points and 1.2 rebounds per contest and dished out a significant amount of assists. This year, Cunningham says he wants to win.
“I hope to make it to the Region Championship this year, and to be my team’s leading scorer and to make First Team All-Region,” Cunningham told me.
This summer, Cunningham played for Pocket City out of Evansville, Indiana. He says he played well.
“I played for Pocket City out of Evansville, Indiana this summer, and I played very well,” Cunningham stated.
In the classroom, Cunningham says he is a hard worker.
“I’m a very hard worker in the classroom,” Cunningham said. “I have a 4.0 GPA and a 25 on my ACT.”
Cunningham currently holds scholarship offers from two college programs in Blackburn and Brescia and has been shown interest from Hanover (IN), Thomas Moore, DePauw (IN), Campbellsville, Greenville (IL), Union (TN), Rose-Hulman (IN), Belmont, Centre, St. Joseph’s and Arkansas Tech, and says more coaches should start to reach out because he is a hard worker, just like in the classroom.
“I have worked very hard on my skill set, my athleticism, as well as my academics,” Cunningham noted. “I can be an asset and strong contributor to a lot of programs out there. I feel that my skill set is very strong and my ability to shoot the ball is at an Elite level.”
