The GASO Midwest has featured a lot of size and length within the post but that hasn’t stopped Keener’s productivity. He posted a 20 point performance Saturday evening and has averaged 14 points per game throughout the tournament. That constant productivity comes from Keener’s aggressive nature.
“I think more than anything I try to outwork my opponent,” said Keener. “ The way I see it it’s not about who has the most points or any stat for that matter. It’s is about who is willing to work the hardest every possession and thats what I try to do.”
Keener is listed at 6’7” and he uses every ounce of his size to wear down his opposition. He has limited perimeter skills and spends most of his time operating with his back to the basket. Defensively, Keener isn’t the most athletic but he leaves his feet quick in order to block shots and coral rebounds.
Collegiate interest has been high for Keener this summer but has picked up as of late. He has heard from Missouri Southern and South Dakota State. Keener can increase that list with continued solid play throughout the live period.
