“I like getting my teammates involved early in the game,” Harris said. “Really passing the ball, but when I feel the need to score, I can score.”
As of now, the player currently holds a scholarship offer from Kentucky Wesleyan. Along with the offer, Harris said he is receiving interest from Wichita State, and more coaches and programs should start to reach out because he works hard.
“I work hard on the court – do anything they tell me to do,” Harris told me. “As a point guard, I will get the ball to who I need to get it to. I really like passing the ball, but I will also knock down the open shots.”
Harris played a dominant role in the Red Devils’ success last season. The guard averaged 14.4 points per game along with 2.6 rebounds per outing while also dishing out a large amount of assists. This year, Harris wants to get his team back to the state title game.
“My goals for this high-school year are to average 10+ assists per game and get my team back to the State Championship,” he stated.
Harris didn’t play for anyone this summer.
In the classroom, Harris says he works hard.
“I work hard in the classroom and have a 2.7 GPA,” he said.
Harris, who is looking to lead his OHS team to a state title, is also looking to attract more traffic in his final season as a high-school hoops player.
