“The change from Harding to Putnam City West has been good,” Price said. “The Coaching staff and players are pushing me a lot and I know they are going to make me a better player on and off the court.”
Price is going to have a big impact as Head Coach Lenny Bert will use him to get the most out of his abilities. Putnam City West looks primed for another run at the Class 6A Gold Ball.
Price has shown he is a great scoring option on the floor no matter what team he is playing on. This summer Price has been in action with BTR on the hardwood.
Price has a smooth game with a nice jumper that is consistent. He is sneaky quick on the court with a solid handle. He is simply a scoring machine at 6’1.
Price has a couple of Division II offers on the table from the University of Central Oklahoma and the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.
The ability to create with the ball in his hands for himself or teammates makes Price an attractive player to coaches. Several Division I programs have expressed interest according to Price.
Price has been putting in extra hours in the gym to prepare for the summer live periods.
“This summer I am in the gym to continue to improve on my shot consistently,” Price said. “Another area I am working on is defense.”
Price is excited to play at Putnam City West and hopes to end the year with a ring.
“My goal for this high school season at Putnam City West is everyone’s goal,” Price said. “Win the State Championship.”
