“I am primarily a scorer,” Back said. “I can finish my layups, make free throws and pull-ups, but my main go-to is my three-point shot. “I have improved my defense pretty good, and now I’m just working on jumping.”
Back played a solid role in the Commodores’ success last season. The player averaged 11.9 points and 2.2 rebounds per contest and dished out a numerous amount of assists. This year, Back says he wants to make it far.
“I am looking to make it to the State Tournament and compete for a Championship,” Back told me.
This summer, Back played for the George Hill Rising Stars. He says he performed well.
“I played for George Hill Rising Stars,” Back said. “I played in 54 games, scored 748 points and hit 163 threes.”
In the classroom, Back says he is a good student.
“I am quite a hardworking student,” Back stated. “I had all A’s and one B all year. I had a 4.2 GPA this year.”
Although he hasn’t received his first offer yet, Back says he has been shown interest from Division I Brown University.
Back is going to work hard throughout the remainder of his high-school career to attract more coaches and programs.
“I give 100% all game and I am a team player,” Back noted. “I’m not just looking for points. I like to get my teammates involved and rebound and play as a team. If we need a big shot, I will take it, and be confident and making it.”
