“I’m very good at getting to the rim and a good passer,” Key said. “But I’m working on my shooting game everyday.”
Key played a solid role in the Purples’ success last season. He averaged 3.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Although he may not record big numbers right now, he just wants to win a state title.
“My goal for this season is to end the year with a State Championship,” Key told me.
Key played for Western Kentucky Elite AAU this summer. He says he helped out in a big way.
“I played with WKY Elite this summer, and I helped them win a couple of tournaments, including the AAU State Tournament,” Key stated.
Although he hasn’t received any offers or been shown interest yet, Key says his game should catch college coaches’ and programs eyes because he comes in and works.
“My game, and myself should catch college coaches and programs eyes because I’m a player with a high motor and love to come in and work,” Key noted.
In the classroom, Key says he is a good student, and is going to improve his studies this school year.
“I’m a pretty good student,” he said. “Last year, some of my grades weren’t how they should be, and that’s why some colleges don’t look at me right now, but this school year all of that will be different.”
Key is going to work hard these next two school years both on and off the court, in hopes of playing at the next level.
