Preview: Prep Hoops Finale 17U Pool E
The Prep Hoops Finale features teams from Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado and Louisiana. The Tournament will kick off on Friday night at Putnam City High School. The two courts at Putnam City High School will feature the 17U and 16U divisions throughout the weekend.
Pool E has the K2A Bobcats, Oklahoma Showtime and Tulsa Hawks matching up against each other. Three talented teams enter pool play, but just one will advance to the Gold bracket.
K2A Bobcats
Omar Boone leads the way for the K2A Bobcats at the Point. He is a quick shifty guard that excels at getting to the rim. Boone is receiving high interest from Division II programs this could be a weekend he picks up multiple offers. A player of note inside for K2A Bobcats is Isaiah Levingston at 6’7. Levingston is a very raw talent, but has size you can’t teach. The K2A Bobcats will have a great chance to advance.
Showtime
Showtime is a team that features several players that will go on to be successful at the next level. Jeffery Oxford has really improved over the summer and hit Prep Hoops radar. Oxford and teammate Tylor Arnold make a great duo at the shooting guard spot. Showtime is not a super athletic team, but they share the ball very well, which allows them to have good success.
Tulsa Hawks
The Tulsa Hawks have had great showings throughout the summer. This weekend the 17U enters placed in a great pool for competition. You can expect most of the Hawks games to be close due to their teamwork. Jake Thompson is a talented multi-sport athlete to watch for on the wing.
