Preview: Prep Hoops Finale 17U Pool D
The Prep Hoops Finale features teams from Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado and Louisiana. The Tournament will kick off on Friday night at Putnam City High School. The two courts at Putnam City High School will feature the 17U and 16U divisions throughout the weekend.
Pool D features a very interesting pool with many new faces and teams. The Oklahoma Hustlers, Fort Cobb Tropics and OKC Royals are featured within the pool.
Oklahoma Hustlers
The Oklahoma Hustlers a team out of Tulsa have lots of athletic players from the East side of the state. Kobe Rose leads the way for the Hustlers with his 6’3 frame, athleticism, strength and ability to fill it up from all over. Rose is a slasher to the basket, but has improved his left handed jump shot. The Oklahoma Hustlers will have a great chance to make it out of pool play into the championship bracket.
OKC Royals
The OKC Royals enter the tournament with most of their players coming from Del City. They will be an intriguing team to follow throughout the weekend to see what they bring to the table. The OKC Royals are in a pool that is wide open heading into the weekend.
Fort Cobb Tropics
The team name speaks for itself. The Fort Cobb Tropics are a group of players out of Fort Cobb high school. Cameron Hines, Kellen Hines, and Greyden Steinmetz lead the way for Fort Cobb. 2017 Point Guard Cameron Hines does a great job of running the show. The younger brother of Cameron, Kellen has a great chance to be one of the better Oklahoma players in the 2019 class with his shot making skills. Steinmetz is one of the most overlooked prospects in the 2017 Oklahoma Class, simply he is a scoring machine from the wing. A prospect outside of the big 3 that is very intriguing is Cache Clift inside.
