The Prep Hoops Finale was in action all day Saturday with great games taking place left and right. Prep Hoops has top notch coverage of the action with 20 Stock Risers below!
Marvin Johnson 2017 Playmaker Express Wing
Johnson was back at it again on Saturday showing off his crazy athleticism. He played good on defense as well using his length and quickness to his advantage. Johnson dominated getting to the basket and finishing in traffic. Johnson projects to the D1 or JUCO route.
Tre Edwards 2017 OKC Wolfpack
The Wolfpack trailed 12-0 to start the game against PWP Select. Then, Edwards took over the game. He finished with 26 points for the game. He blew past defenders to the basket with his great quickness. Edwards was clutch when his team needed him the most down the stretch.
Burke Putnam 2017 Playmaker Express Combo Guard
Putnam shot the ball well from behind the arc. He played off the ball for most of the game at the two. Putnam is a 6’2 combo guard with lots of upside. He is best on offense when getting to the basket. Putnam projects to the Low D1- High D2 level.
Brandis Fender 2018 Oklahoma Wolfpack Combo Guard
Fender shot the three-pointer well shooting over 50% for the day from downtown. Fender is best used as a Point Guard with the rock in his hands. Best put he is a playmaker for Oklahoma Wolfpack.
Craig Webb 2018 Kings of Courts Point Guard
Webb is a quick undersized guard who can get to the cup and score. He did a nice job of penetrating the defense then distributing the ball to an open post. Probably the biggest thing that stood out about Webb was his good defense and constant hustle.
Bryce Mooreland 2018 Oklahoma Wolfpack Combo Guard
Mooreland has had a big summer on the grassroots circuit. He has used the summer to improve many different areas of his game. Mooreland is an improved outside shooter. He has always been successful at getting to the rim. He had a great day running the Point for the Wolfpack.
Greg Thomas 2018 Oklahoma Wolfpack Combo Guard
Thomas is a gamer on the floor at all times. Over the two years I have been watching Thomas he always hustles and plays as hard as he can. Thomas scored the ball in the paint well amongst the tall trees. Thomas is a shorter Point Guard with a good build. Keep a close eye on Thomas who could develop into quite the player.
Tyreece Berry 2017 Playmaker Express Point Guard
Berry got going early in the flow of the offense for Playmaker Express and never stopped. He scored in all three phases of the game. He picked up his first offer this weekend from NOC Tonkawa. Berry doesn’t do one thing great, but does a ton of good things at the Point. He is picking up D2 interest.
Damoriea Vick 2018 Team Griffin Wing
Vick has made the transition from being a big kid with good size to a wing that is long and create with the ball in his hands. Vick shot the ball well from the floor. He has improved this summer immensely with Team Griffin. Vick has slimed down allowing him to become quicker and be more effective on the Wing.
Nic White 2018 Game Changer Hoops Wing
Nic White gets overlooked at times in the 2018 Oklahoma Class, but he has a chance to be very good. He scored the ball at a high level on Saturday. Standing near 6’4 White is a good jump shooter, which opens up the driving lanes. White has tons of potential to turn into a really solid prospect.
Zalek Sharp 2018 Game Changer Hoops Combo Guard
Sharp is a skilled combo guard that finds ways to put the ball in the hoop. He scored the ball very well netting 22 points. He kept it up in the second game displaying many different ways to score. Sharp has a bright future on the court.
Alex Woodruff 2017 Tulsa Hawks Combo Guard
Woodruff was on fire from deep three-point range. In the first half alone Woodruff nailed 5 three-pointers. He is the type of player who can get hot in a short span and go off. Woodruff can play at the Point or the two. He is best at the Point with the ball, which allows him to create openings for himself and others. Don’t be surprised when you watch Woodruff to see him have confidence to shoot from way out beyond the three-point line.
Tylor Arnold 2017 Showtime Shooting Guard
Arnold is at his best as a spot up shooter on the wing, but certainly can put the ball on the floor. He shot the ball well from the three-point line and mid-range. What stands out the most about Arnold is he does not force shots, but just takes what is given to him. Arnold has steadily improved over his high school career.
Aaron Lucas 2017 Oklahoma Run PWP Select Point Guard
Lucas explodes to the basket with great speed and many times is able to draw a foul. He is always flying around the court at 110 mph. Lucas has developed a nice jump shot and floater to complement his drive to the hoop. Lucas will be a sought after Point Guard by small colleges by the time April roles around.
Colt Savage 2018 Oklahoma Run PWP Select Combo Guard
Savage continues to have big games for Oklahoma Select. He did a nice mix of shooting very well from beyond the arc and driving to the basket with a strong finish. Savage has had one of the best summers of any 2018 player.
Hunter Lovell 2017 Team Oklahoma Guard
Lovell did a great job of battling on the floor for Team Oklahoma. He got going with slashing to the basket and making smart decisions around the cup. Lovell is a good passer and found his teammates several times. Once Lovell found his scoring stride he was very tough to stop. Lovell netted 3 three-pointers on the night. He can do a little bit of everything on the floor. Lovell is not the quickest, but has a chance to play at the next level. Lovell projects to the NAIA D2 level.
Kobe Rose 2017 Oklahoma Hustlers Shooting Guard
Rose is a lefty with a smooth shooting stoke. Smooth is a good way to describe Rose’s game all around. He doesn’t do one thing great just a lot of things well. Rose can handle the rock to create his shot or spot up on the wing. Coaches will love more than the offense he provides is the tough defense Rose brings to the table. He really got going in the opening game of the day. He had the most impressive performance of the day. Rose projects to the JUCO to D2 level.
Kellen Hines 2019 Fort Cobb Tropics Combo Guard
Hines showed off his impressive ball handling skills on Saturday. He shot the ball well from the floor shooting over 50%. He has tons of potential as a young 2019 prospect playing up at the 17U level. Hines has had one of the best summers of any Oklahoma 2019 prospect.
