GASO Thursday Stock Risers
The Great American Shootout kicked off Thursday with several Oklahoma teams in action. See what players had a big game on Thursday.
Tyreese Berry 2017 Playmakers Express Point Guard 5’10
Scored the basketball well driving to the basket. Did a great job of drawling contact. Displayed great vision with good touch on his passes. Berry is a tough guard that commands the rock and runs the point well. Berry projects as a Division II prospect.
Kyle Dortch 2017 Oklahoma Impact Wing 6’2
Dortch caught fire from three-point range for Oklahoma Impact. He played really well with the offense going through him on the wing. He has played in the post a bit for his high school and it has helped him be able to score in the paint with good moves. Dortch is a smart player that makes the right play for his squad. He projects to the Division II level.
Blake Hensley 2017 Playmakers Express Shooting Guard 6’1
Hensley is a two guard that can stretch the floor with his spot up three-point shooting. He found his shooting stroke in the first half nailing three shots from deep. He kept it going in the second half and did a good job of mixing it up with a slash or drive to the cup. Hensley projects as a Division II prospect.
CJ Parks 2018 Playmakers Express Forward 6’7
Parks did a great job cleaning up on the glass for Playmakers Express. He has good size with a good solid build at 6’7. Parks has some potential to turn into a highly coveted prospect by the time next year comes around. At this point he projects to the Division II level, but with work he could raise his stock.
Brady Manek 2017 Team Griffin Wing 6’9 (Oklahoma Commit)
Manek was aggressive on Thursday to kick off the weekend with a double-digit victory. The offense ran through Manek with his talent to score in all three phases of the game. Manek is known for his offense, but an area he has improved upon since the spring is rebounding the basketball. He was a monster on the boards pulling in rebounds with ease on both ends of the court.
Mason Harrell 2018 Team Griffin Point Guard 5’7
Harrell has turned a corner the past two weekends at the Point for Team Griffin. He is playing with great confidence. Harrell is making the smart plays on the court as he always has with the rock in his hands. It is scoring the basketball were Harrell has shown great confidence. Harrell has learned how to score in the paint with tall trees surrounding him. For his age Harrell has some of the best instincts you will see at the Point on the hardwood.
