Kentucky Wesleyan and Maryville are offers that the 6-foot-3 combo guard holds. And he thinks he may get some late low-major offers from schools that misfire on other highly sought-after guards.
“I know a lot of these schools want that 6-foot-5 type shooting guard and combo guard, and they may overlook me because I’m 6-foot-3. Belmont and Lipscomb and Morehead (State) are all just waiting to see if they get the players they want, and if not, I think they’ll fall back on me,” said Stotts.
“I just hope that I can make some plays this summer, and make some things happen. And just get a few more offers that could boost some things up for me.”
Stotts has been working this offseason to become more of a diverse perimeter threat; he’s really honing in on his handle and creating for others.
“The most improvements I’ve made is really just creating my own shot,” he said. “And also creating for my teammates while driving to the basket and dishing.”
Though he played with Team Manimal in the spring, Stotts will play with W.A.C.G. this summer.
“I moved to We All Can Go because the coach of that team was my coach in 8th grade, so we have a bit of a relationship and a good connection,” he said.
“I really want that D1 offer, and I feel like this is a good spot for me to get that.”
