And though still offer-less, he says recruitment has now become a top priority for him, and he’s focused on getting that first offer before July ends.
“Interest had been pretty good. But no offers yet though, just a lot of interest from schools like Utica (NY), Alfred (NY), and Washburn (KS),” said Martin who says Findlay, Ohio Dominican and Lake Erie are still in contact as well.
“Ohio Dominican is really in contact with me a lot, so I’d say they may be the first to offer.”
“Recruitment is a number one priority for me right now. And I think if I play to the best of my ability, that my recruitment will go really well this summer.”
After transferring to Clearview from Elyria for his sophomore season, Martin says last season is when he really settled in with the Clippers,
“My junior season was really good. I know I probably could have done more to help the team defensively, with rebounds and help-side and stuff like that. But overall I think I had a solid season, and we should be pretty good next year,” said Martin, who says working on creating looks for himself and his teammates was his main goal.
“I’ve been working more on trying to get my shot off; off-the-dribble, cutting, and all kind of different ways on trying to get open. I’m just trying to open up more things for my teammates and for myself.”
This offseason he is again playing with TNBA, and he knows how important the quickly-approaching July live periods will be for he and his teammates.
“I’ve been helping my team a lot, and creating a lot. And during the July live periods I’m really looking forward to playing well, and making more of a name for myself.”
