2017 Booker T. Washington Point Guard RJ Fuqua
Fuqua has been offered by Oral Roberts and he put together several good outings with the coaching staff in attendance. What makes Fuqua so special is his ability to change speed and change directions quickly. It allows him to get in the lane and create plays for others. The senior floor general should have Booker T. Washington in contention this year.
2019 Broken Arrow Point Guard Camryn Dennis
Dennis is a young guy who has the tendency to play like a young guy from time to time. He pulled out his grown man game Thursday as he scored 22 points a victory over Booker T. Washington. Dennis is at his best when attacking the rim and drawing contact but had his jumper falling Thursday. He is certainly a finesse player and will fit well as an off the ball guard with Broken Arrow.
2018 Carl Albert Point Guard Mason Harrell
Harrell was without his partner in crime Treyvon Hopkins and took on more of a scoring role. He finished with 23 points in a slim victory over Heritage(AR). Harrell was impressive in penetrating the zone off the dribble and find cutters going to the rim. The ball needs to be in his hands but he can all the right plays to lead a team.
2017 Union Power Forward Adrian Rodriguez
Rodriguez was a man amongst boys at ORU Thursday. He had a huge day on the boards and even poured in 21 in a victory over Choctaw. Impressive was Rodriguez in his ability to put the ball on the floor from the perimeter and finish above the rim. He can also play with his back to the basket and finished over either shoulder.
2017 Booker T. Washington Point Guard Aaron Lucas
Lucas has been one of the best performers in day one of action. He had it all on display hitting four three-pointers in his game against Broken Arrow while working off the ball with Fuqua. In a matchup with Moore he was effective when getting downhill and finishing at the rim. Many NAIA schools should take a better look at Lucas.
