Mo Garcia 2018 Union Shooting Guard
Garcia had a great weekend shooting the basketball excellent from outside. He has become one of the better shooters in the 2018 class. Garcia is not the quickest or the most athletic, but is one of the smartest out on the court. As a coaches son he plays with an extremely high basketball IQ. Garcia makes sharp passes and plays very hard on defense.
Ben Pruitt 2017 Ada Shooting Guard
Pruitt was very good once again scoring over half of Ada’s points. He is able to affect the game in so many different ways standing at every bit of 6’5. Pruitt has great touch on his three-point shot. He plays bully ball in the paint using his toughness and size to get easy baskets. Another area Pruitt excels in is rebounding the basketball from the wing. Pruitt needs to improve his footwork and ball handling. He has a high basketball IQ. Pruitt can score the ball in all three phases of the game.
Kobe Burgess 2019 Ada Point Guard
Burgess is showing signs of possibly being the best player in the 2019 Oklahoma Class. He handles the ball well at the Point. One thing he showed on Saturday that he can makes smart decisions with the rock and throw some outstanding down the court passes. Burgess shot the three-point shot well. He has the chance to be a very good player.
Adrian Rodriguez 2017 Union Power Forward
Rodriguez was outstanding on the boards as he was all spring. He found his jumper early in the game and continued to shoot it well from three-point and mid-range. Rodriguez is a rising Division I level prospect. He has the heart of a champion at 6’6, which allows him to play at a high level despite being undersized.
Kamren Evans 2017 Edmond Memorial Point Guard
Evans at Point Guard plays with great pace. He ran the offense well for the Bulldogs finding his spots. Evans is undersized at 5’9 but uses his speed to counter his size. He does a nice job of seeing the floor and playing extremely hard on both ends of the floor. Evans projects as an NAIA D2 to Division III prospect.
Jalen Redmond 2018 Midwest City Forward
Redmond is a freak athlete at 6’5 for the Bombers. He rebounded the basketball extremely well using his quickness and lift. Redmond plays bully basketball in the paint being very physical with his opponent. One thing I love about his game is he will never back down from a challenge. The biggest thing of note about his game this weekend was he hit multiple three-pointers. If Redmond can continue to improve his shooting from the outside his stock will sky rocket.
Callen Haydon 2017 El Reno Point Guard
Haydon had one of the best performances of any player on Saturday. He is known for his three-point shot, but he dominated off the dribble at Oklahoma Team Camp. He used his quickness to blow past his longer defender and finished around the basket. Haydon is very competitive on the court, which drives his game.
Dyson Plumley 2019 El Reno Wing
Plumley was the find of the weekend. He is a long athletic 6’5 Wing. He has a smooth jumper with a nice fade away. Plumley used his length to cause trouble on defense. On offense he doesn’t force things. He does have a nice shot from three-point range and mid-range. Plumley is still learning the game. He has lots of upside to his game.
Josh Rivers 2018 Midwest City Point Guard
Rivers is starting to show signs of being a sharp Point Guard with the rock in his hands. He see’s the entire floor well. Rivers has a sharp handle of the basketball with a smooth drive to the cup. Rivers could crack the starting line up from the Bombers this season with his improvement.
Kale Owen 2017 El Reno Wing
Owen is the definition of tough for the El Reno Indians. He does the little things on the floor that don’t always end up in the stat sheet. Owen is the type of player that every team needs to be successful. He projects at the Division II to NAIA level. He has a nice jumper with the ability to get going from deep.
Kobe Rose 2017 Tulsa Memorial Shooting Guard
Rose is a lefty with good size and athleticism at 6’3. He is listed as a shooting guard, but in some cases could run the point with his ball handling skills. Rose is a scorer that attacks the rim at will. He can shoot, but will need to continue to improve his outside shot. Rose projects as a Division II player at the next level.
Trae Young 2017 Norman North Point Guard
Young is widely known as the best player in the state of Oklahoma. The reason people know him is because of his ability to score the basketball with ease in all three phases of the game. However, this weekend with a Norman North squad that was outmatched talent wise in several games, Young led them to victories. He made others around him better at the Point distributing the ball to his teammates in the perfect spots. Young continues to elevate his game each time out on the floor.
RJ Fisher 2018 Lawton Ike Point Guard
Fisher has a college built body at the Point standing at 5’11. If he ever committed to just playing basketball he would have a great chance at playing at the Division I level. He commands the Point very well making smart decisions with the rock in his hands. Fisher is a great multi-sport athlete that has a chance to receive scholarships in multiple sports.
Romio Harvey 2017 Lawton Ike Shooting Guard
Harvey has improved over the past year and this year will be interesting to watch Harvey as he will be the go to player for Lawton Ike. Harvey has a chance to sky rocket over his senior season. He is a crafty guard with improved ball handling skills and a more reliable jumper. He projects at the Division II level.
