Shemar Smith 2019 Norman North Wing
Smith is a long lanky athletic wing that was the discovery of the day. He will have a chance to get some minutes on the varsity squad with his skill set. He stands around 6’5, can dribble and even shoot the 3. Smith made his mark on the game Friday morning. He still needs to develop in many areas as he is raw, but he certainly has some upside.
Jacob Ogle 2018 Norman Wing
Ogle is a long wing that excels in the mid-range game on offense. He used his height to shoot over defenders with the ball in the paint or from 15-20 feet out. He does have a three-point jumper, but does a good job of not settling for the three-point shot. Ogle is an intriguing 6’6 Wing that could turn into a very nice player.
Andrew Stuman 2017 Edmond North Center
Stuman anchored the post for Edmond North as the man in the middle of the zone defensively. He has great height at 6’8 with a long wingspan that gives opponents trouble. Stuman has now caught Prep Hoops eyes a couple of times this spring. He is an improved player in the paint. Over the rest of the summer and into the fall Stuman is one to watch as he develops.
Kalen Childs 2017 Tulsa Memorial Shooting Guard
If you like defense you will love Childs game on the wing. He is very tough and never backs down on the defensive end. Childs wants to guard the opponents best player 1-4. He has a good physical build at 6’3 1/2. On offense Childs continues to develop his game showing signs of progress Friday. He finishes strong around the rim. The biggest area Childs needs to improve is his jumper. Childs projects as an NAIA to JUCO prospect at the next level.
Karsten Berg 2018 Yukon Shooting Guard
Berg was the best shooter of the day from three-point range. He caught fire in the first half knocking down four three-point shots and kept it going throughout the game. Berg is not just a three-point shooter as he showed off some mid-range game. Berg must improve his ball handling and defense. He has a bright future with his great touch from outside.
